WAIMLAp is a meeting space for researchers, practitioners, and students interested in the advances, challenges, and opportunities in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, with an emphasis on methods and applications across diverse scientific, social, and industrial domains
Introduction:
WAIMLAp 2026 is an international academic event dedicated to the discussion of recent advances, challenges, and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning across diverse scientific and technological domains.
The workshop is organized by the Artificial Intelligence Research Group of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, students, and industry representatives interested in the development and application of AI-based technologies.
WAIMLAp has established itself as a meeting point for the academic and technological community, fostering the exchange of ideas, the presentation of research results, and the discussion of the impact of Artificial Intelligence across different sectors.
About the Event:
WAIMLAp aims to foster interaction among researchers from different disciplines and to promote the development of innovative AI-based solutions to address scientific and industrial challenges. WAIMLAp 2026 will offer an academic program that includes:
- A main track focused on Artificial Intelligence, covering recent advances, applications, current challenges, and future opportunities.
- Keynote talks delivered by internationally recognized experts.
- Scientific paper presentations.

- Discussion spaces on emerging topics in Artificial Intelligence.

WAIMLAp 2026 seeks to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, while providing a platform for early-career researchers and graduate students to present their work and receive feedback from the scientific community.
